I got most of the drywall up in the cave. I’ve decided on calling that space the cave. For awhile it was the nook, and the place under the stairs, but cave sounds better, I think. My buddy MacSkid has been helping me along with this project quite a bit. He comes over every couple [...]
I’ll find out shortly if my wife reads this blog. I’ve started a new project. I usually try to keep my unfinished projects out of her sphere of influence, which usually means every where on our property except the hill. I finally got my vines in the ground this past weekend. What a relief and a great sense of satisfaction. My wife hasn’t said anything, but I know she is glad they are in. I’ve really been pushing my luck out there the past three months. I started working on the drip system tonight. I [...]

Well, I after working in the vineyard most of the weekend I have pretty much decided that I am not going to be ready to plant my vines by the end of this month. It was actually somewhat frustrating today. In my rush to meet this planting date, I broke my cardinal rule of [...]
I had a minor irrigation mishap today. I was re-routing the lines and decided to cap the ends of the line off instead of reconnecting them to the existing line, as I usually do. I only lightly cemented the end caps since I planned to to reconnect them to the existing lines in the next [...]
